In the wake of the climate emergency, we must reduce the impact of everyday urban life on resources, from the individual scale to an international approach. In this context, ANCB launched the programme FIXIT! to investigate new materials and technologies that will play a key role in design and planning to reach sustainable goals. In collaboration with the OBEL AWARD, the Lab Talk Concrete Solutions examines how concrete must undergo essential changes to support the transition path to a new sustainable future. The OBEL AWARD 2022 was awarded to Seratech for its cement and concrete decarbonisation technology. Seratech's proposal is an ambitious, interdisciplinary project and paves the way for other collaborations that do not merely provide a temporary or small-scale solution, nor imply an unrealistic change of current practices. The ANCB Lab Talk will open a dialogue between different actors from the concrete industry, research and design to discuss options, challenges and perspectives for the future.
