ANCB The Aedes Metropolitan Laboratory, is a unique hybrid cultural and educational platform focusing on the future of our cities. ANCB has received great international recognition and upholds ongoing collaborations with leading universities from around the world, cultural institutions of many nations, governmental agencies and non-governmental organisations, social and technological research institutes and industry partners.

A public urban platform for collective observation and discussion around critical issues facing the built environment
A place for alternative urban education for students and academics from universities worldwide.
An interdisciplinary think-tank for joint enquiries about urban and architectural topics.
A broad international network established and upheld by leading pioneers in the fields of architecture education and practice, urban design, construction and product design, urban governance and art.
A neutral and independent non-profit organisation.

ANCB was founded in 2009. Since then we have realised 196 talks, symposia and lectures with 1581 speakers and moderators and 17332 audience members. 136 University Design Studios with 2842 students, 360 faculty members and 890 guest critics and has collaborated with universities and institutions from 58 countries.

ANCB does not receive public funding and relies on donations and sponsoring to run its programme. Help us continue our work with a small donation! THANK YOU!!
