McGill University, Montréal
2 - 6 May 2017
For the second time students of McGill University in Montreal visited Berlin for an intensive field workshop. Led by Prof. Nik Luka, they explored the Kulturforum complex and the adjacent zones of Potsdamer Platz and Park am Gleisdreieck and investigated these postwar urban landscapes that are generally acknowledged as problematic examples of early postwar megaprojects. The studio brief challenged the students to compare and contrast the Berlin case with similar new endeavours in central Montréal such as the Quartier des Spectacles.
